Every month the Fernwood Hotel and Resort will have a drawing for it’s twitter followers. Everyone that’s a follower will automatically be entered no matter when they began following us on twitter.
 
Let us explain what an EZCard is. The Fernwood Hotel and Resort has created an on property debit card for use by anyone that doesn’t want to carry cash around and enjoys the ease of a card type transaction. EZCards are loaded with real cash values and spend like cash at any of the resorts restaurants and most of it’s amenities like horseback riding, golf, the gamezone arcade and in winter for snowtubing. For clarity the EZCard only has value within the resort property and will not be honored by any establishment outside the resort, for example at a local gas station.
 
The resort started this contest to bring awareness to our new twitter channel where our hope is to allow past and future guests to connect with us easily and in a more informal environment. Fernwood realizes that social media has been around for a number of years and we’ve witnessed the adoption by other major brands not only in the hotel and travel industry but by large and small corporations alike. Although we’re new to the arena of social media we are striving to open the channels of communications to our patrons and the public at large. This blog is another new channel where we’ll be sharing information about the resort, the poconos in general and other topics of interest.
