This year has been particularly hard on PA Nonprofits as our state budget has yet to be resolved. Local food banks like Bushkill Outreach are finding it difficult to make ends meet with little to no funds flowing in from the state. More and more people are making use of food banks as the bad economy has hit households and stretched already thin budgets to the breaking point and beyond.

Last years Community Yard Sale raised close to $5000.00 from donated items and table rentals. We hope to double those funds raised as this years event will span two days instead of one. As last years press release stated many items already donated to the Bushkill Outreach and additional donations by hotel employees will be up for sale, including collectibles, games, childrens toys, musical instruments and much more. So if you’re in the neighborhood or even if you’re not plan on stopping by and make a few purchases to benefit the important work that the people at the Bushkill Outreach do on this communities behalf.

What? Community 2 Day Yard Sale to Benefit Bushkill Outreach
When? October 10th & 11th – 9 am to 3 pm (rain or shine)
Where? Fernwood Hotel & Resort – Great Lawn
Table rental ($25 for a 10 x 10 space) proceeds benefit Bushkill Outreach, a community food pantry dedicated to feeding, clothing and supporting those in need in the greater Bushkill area.
