We love it when it snows in the Poconos and there has been no shortage of snow this season. It looks like we are getting close to two feet of snow and will have it all shoveled and plowed out in time for the weekend. Snowtubing is open – single tubes, family tubes and Tiny Tots. The horses will be out on winter trail rides, the temperatures will be in the 30s and the sun is going to shine. It just doesn’t get better for snow angels, snowpeople construction and toasting marshmellows by the bonfire. Come out and play in the snow with us.

Lots of snow at Shawnee Mountain
Looking down at the Shawnee Mountain Base Lodge yesterday - lots of knee high powder.
Almost two feet of fresh powder yesterday and sunshine today. Skiing in the Poconos does not get any better than this. Squeezed in a few runs yesterday afternoon and caught the last lift before closing because of blizzard conditions. Knee high Pocono powder east of the Mississippi. Yeeeeha.

We love it. Mother Nature is delivering a blanket of white just in time for the President’s Week holiday. The Poconos are a winter wonderland. Getting ready for the big weekend at Fernwood, the plows are out and will sound the all clear by tomorrow. We are all getting out to snowtube, ski, sled and just walk around in the beautiful snow. If you are thinking of coming to the Poconos any time over the President’s week, now would be the time to make your reservations. It’s snowing, which makes the phones ring with folks interested in outdoor winter fun.
