Just like that winter ended and the snowtubing park closed for the season. Now, we want golf to begin and that is scheduled for the first week of April. Until then, there is still plenty of skiing in the Poconos at Shawnee and Camelback Mountain Resort. In fact, Camelback is hosting the carboard box derby and pond skimming competitions this weekend. We love it when it snows in the Poconos and there has been no shortage of snow this season. It looks like we are getting close to two feet of snow and will have it all shoveled and plowed out in time for the weekend. Snowtubing is open – single tubes, family tubes and Tiny Tots. The horses will be out on winter trail rides, the temperatures will be in the 30s and the sun is going to shine. It just doesn’t get better for snow angels, snowpeople construction and toasting marshmellows by the bonfire. Come out and play in the snow with us.

We love it. Mother Nature is delivering a blanket of white just in time for the President’s Week holiday. The Poconos are a winter wonderland. Getting ready for the big weekend at Fernwood, the plows are out and will sound the all clear by tomorrow. We are all getting out to snowtube, ski, sled and just walk around in the beautiful snow. We had a dusting of snow last night and the sun has just emerged to a beautiful day in the Poconos. Predictions for snow on Friday will make snowtubing even more fun over the weekend.
